Welcome Spring

Spring lasts from late March until mid-June and brings many positive changes to the environment with it. The days last longer, trees are bursting with new leaves, the wind is blowing, rainfall is much more frequent, flowers are blooming and rainbows are in the sky.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, you can celebrate the seasons year-round by teaching preschool children about the changing temperatures, weather patterns, and other distinguishing characteristics such as holidays and seasonal activities. Heading outdoors is a great way to enjoy some springtime sunshine. As we have learned this week sunshine is not always smiling down on us. We did learn spring brings many weather changes and we had fun experiencing them all.

The month of April we will be learning all about spring happenings. Starting this week with changes in the weather, followed by baby animals and finally enjoying the beauty of new plants and flowers growing around us.

Rain, Rain and more Rain.

Don't let your kite blow away.

(We were going to head outside to a fly a kite this week. But unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. hopefully next week).

Beautiful kites

We had a blast experiencing what happens when the wind blows. Check out the Pre-K face book page to see the wind blow.

We read fun stories, while waiting for the sun to shine.

We waited long enough. We created our own!

Pre-K loves scavenger hunts. We went searching for all the colors of the rainbow. We found them all.

Now to create a rainbow.

Rainbows are beautiful. But candy rainbows are beautiful and delicious!!

Watch the candy rainbows transform on the Pre-K facebook page.

Show and Tell.

This week we had to guess what our friends brought for their show and tell. Everyone did a great job describing their hidden show and tell to their friends. And in return we had great guesses.

Exploring spring outdoors.

Puddles, worms, rain and new plants growing.

Sometimes you learn the most when you don't know it.

Outdoor fun.

Inside fun.
