Pre-K was incredibly busy this week. We started with checking out different tastes and textures. After describing an item. The children had to find it on the board.

We followed it up. With a texture and taste collage. A texture or taste was described and the kids had to find it then glue it to the paper.
Next it was all about sounds. The kids were all very excited to make their own instruments. I know how happy you will all be to have these in your home. To hear the beautiful music played. Be sure to visit the Pre-k facebook page.
Guess what's for snack.
Before the children were given their snack. I described the snack and they guessed what it might be. If they wanted seconds. The kids had to tell me something about what they were asking for ex.. It's color, taste, texture. This a great activity for vocabulary building. Give it a try at home.
Taste Test
The kids were all asked to close their eyes. They were given different snacks. They had to guess what it was and what the taste was. Afterwards we had a discussion about what they tried. Here you can see the final tallies. They all asked if we could do this again.

Counting Fun.
The kids had to find the numbers in the circles. Then I called a number and they had to stack the corresponding number of blocks in the circle. Pre-K math is so fun.
Scissor practice.
Paper Chains
