Spring Time

Welcome.

We were all very excited to come back to school after spring break. We were so happy to meet our new friend Trip. And new teacher Ms. Morton. After only one week. It seems like they have been with us the whole year.

Yay for the beautiful and sunny week. ( The begining of it any way).

We love to be outdoors. It looks like we're just having fun. But it's a whole lot more.

Outdoor play improves physical development.

Physical skills are important for growth, physical coordination and the movement of the body. When children play outdoors they increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and skip.

We're going on an adventure.

After reading the story. The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle. Pre-k went on an adventure with clipboards and markers to find all the colors of spring. I love how focused they were while documenting their findings.

Time to plant.

After the amazing adventure. We came back to the classroom to plant seeds of our own. We had a lenghty discussion about the time it would take for the seeds to start to grow. I will admit I did see some disappointed faces when they came in the next morning with no change. I will keep you updated on the growth!

Rainy day playdoh fun.

Playdoh is always fun. But making your own is really fun! Check out the Pre-k facebook page for live action.

Alphabet Garden

We had a lot fun. Matching the alphabet flowers to the letters in the garden.

How many buttons are on your flower stem? Let's count.

Pre-k Flower Garden.

Art class.

Learning about mosaics with Mr. Matt. Beautiful works of art.

French Class

And the race is on. How many moves to the end of the line? Un (one), deux (two), trois (three)? We're learning to count in french.

PE

Thanks to coach for all the fun.

Happy Birthday Ivy.

One by one we're turning 4!

Bonus pictures

Just a few extra!

The weeks are going by so fast. I love every minute I have with your children. Next week will continue our unit on spring. We will focus on animals. Watch out little bunnies. We will be looking for you. Happy weekend.
