Snow Much Fun!

Welcome back! The snow covered ground made it perfect to come back to school and start our winter themed unit. Mother nature was not on our side for most of the week to help us get outside and explore what winter has brought us. But have no fear. there is much more to come in the following weeks.

This week we started with talking about the temperature change, what's happening outside and of course snow friends.

We started out by painting a picture of snow. (you have to have snow before you can build a snow friend).

Next came creating and decorating!

And then the snow friends! I love them all!!

Creative snowmen drawings. Everyone's pencil grip is getting stronger. And you can see the control in their drawings. Bravo friends.

When the weather is too cold to go out. It's always fun to bring winter inside.

Indoor snowball fights are now one of our favorite activities.

Cutting our own snowflakes. Like the pencil grip. Our cutting skills are amazing!

Too cold to out in the snow. Just bring it it. The kids had snow much fun painting the snow!

Dice roll and count snowballs. This is a great game to play at home on a cold winter day. Instructions- roll dice, find objects to match the amount on the dice. Make it a little more challenging use two dice.

Cold winter days are calling for comfort food. Waffles, hot chocolate and marshmallows! what a treat.

Lucky Pre-K. One day of outdoor recess this week.

Lucky Pre-K. Fun space for indoor recess. Let's keep our bodies moving.

Busy, busy, busy. Everyone was glad to get back and find their favorite toys waiting for them.
