More winter fun.

There have been many many years. I have planned winter themed activities and I haven't seen a drop of snow. Not this year!!!!!. Pre-K has been loving every minute of outdoor fun.

Snowfriends

Did you ever wonder what snowmen did at night? ask your child. This book gave them some ideas.

We finished our salt clay snow friends from last week.

Do you recognize these snow friends?

We spent a lot of time learning about liquids and solids. Through many different activities we explored the differences. Here are some of our favorites

What better way to learn about liquids and solids. We made and enjoyed frozen yogurt smoothie pops.

Icicles

Ice puck exploration. We painted and salted to see what happens. Wow what fun.

Water one day. Ice the next.

Time. to paint!!!!

Roll and Stamp.

Pre-K played a game where they rolled a dice. then they had to find the corresponding number on their snowman. Once they did. They gave it a stamp with a dot marker. I loved their focus and concentration.

Art Class with Mr. Matt.

In art class the kids learned about the artist Piet Mondrian a Dutch artist best known for his abstract work. I think Pre-k did an amazing job!

PE with Coach Chanan

Cleaning up is just as much fun as playing.

Is it shaving cream or snow? one thing we do know. It was a lot of fun.

Pre-K just wants to have fun.

Enjoying some playtime together.

Show and Tell

To end the week. We went on a special adventure. We went to visit a special person to Roycemore.

Please see the about information below. Enjoy the pictures. For a special treat visit the Pre-k facebook page to hear the children sing.

We had fun making birthday pictures.

Today the PK and JK classes, their teachers and Head of School, Adrianne Finley Odell, walked over to Edie Eisner's home at 1020 Grove to sing Happy Birthday to her. Edie turned 96 on Tuesday but with the snowstorm our visit was postponed to today. They made a whole book of cards for her as well. When Mrs. Eisner saw them and heard they were going to sing to her, she started singing The Roycemore Song.

It was a special treat uniting generations of Griffins! Mrs. Eisner is a former faculty member of Roycemore, served as our Admissions Director, and on the Board of Trustees for many years prior to being named a Life Trustee of Roycemore School in 2018. Mrs. Eisner, and her husband, Robert, established the Eisner Distinguished Scholar program at Roycemore.

Walking over for our visit.

The Birthday girl. Pretty in pink.

As you can see. Pre-k had a very busy week. Even with missing a day for snow fun. I hope everyone takes a minute to look at the pictures with your child. what a great way to share whats happening at school.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!
