The big hit this week was Dinosaur eggs!

We watched a counting video about dinosaur eggs and read the story Am I Yours. It's about an egg that doesn't know who it belongs to. Different dinosaurs come to the egg and try to guess. It's a wonderful fun rhyming story with a heart warming ending.

The kids created their own eggs which opened and closed. The excitement came when their baby picture was hidden inside and we took turns guessing who the baby was inside the egg. They had so much fun sharing their baby picture with each other. I'm sure I will be asking for them again.

Cutting the eggs and coloring.

Who is in this dinosaur egg? Surprise!!

Snow Volcano's

To see the volcano's erupt go to the Pre-K facebook page.

Puzzles, puzzles and more puzzles.

The kids have found a love for puzzles. Whether they are working on one alone or together I know there is a smile under their mask.

Puzzles are a great way to create a fun learning opportunity for kids. Simple jigsaw puzzles help children develop finger strength, perseverance and problem solving skills. Puzzles develop memory skills, as well as an ability to plan, test ideas and solve problems.

A puzzle teaches young children about the concept of a whole and that each piece is a fraction of the bigger picture. It also helps develop basic skills such as shape recognition, concentration, goal setting, patience and a sense of achievement.

Free choice fun!!

Pre-K loves being outside. Especially when dinosaurs are in the mix.
