Birds
This week in Pre-K we talked, studied, explored, read and discovered many things about birds.
These were a few of our favorite books.
We started the week off talking about where birds have been in the winter and why we see so many more in the spring. We created our own birds and had fun flying them. They should have all flown home this week If you haven't seen one. Check and see if they are nesting in your child's back pack.
Nests
Yes it's a real bird nest. How did they make it? Let's find out.
We watched a video of a bird building a nest. Wow it's amazing.
If you were a bird. What would you put in your nest to make it cozy?
Let's see. Would you pick fuzz, string, feathers, grass, flowers or paper? Everyone had their own fabulous ideas. All the eggs are safe and sound. Open the egg. you might find a bird.

Bird Feeders
There are going to be some lucky birds outside of Roycemore. We made bird feeders and hung them outside for someone or somebird to enjoy a tasty treat. A few friends made two. Hang them outside and watch for the birds.
Always busy. As the year is winding down. The kids have found which toys to be their favorites.
Kite flying
We waited a week for a beautiful sunny and windy day to fly our kite. Checkout the Pre-K Facebook page to watch the kite fly.
In french class we have been talking about clothing and learning all the words of our clothing and how to say them in french. Pre-K found talking about underwear to be hilarious. I couldn't let that opportunity pass without bringing in a few books.
It's hard to believe we are halfway through April. Next week we will start planting and getting ready for Earth Day.
