As we continued this week with "All about me" we focused a little more about how we are the same and different.
We read the Todd Parr book It's ok to be different.

We had fun weighing and measuring ourselves.
We created more pages for our "All about me book".
We talked about our favorite colors. Next week we will put them all together and see what a Pre-K rainbow looks like.
Free choice activities.
During free choice. The kids had a chance to find matching color and shape cards. I was impressed with how quickly they found all the matches. Look how many cards are on the floor!
They also had a chance to sort color chips into the color matching bowls.
Looks like a lot of fun going on. But so much learning!!

The kids had a chance to interact with the story Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?
By adding flannel board pieces to the board.
Art Class
In art class the kids used patterned rollers to create designs and roads. I heard next week they will be adding cars!
PE Class
This week the kids had fun on scooter boards and played the game builders and breakers. Go to the Pre-k Facebook page for live action!
French Class
We continued learning colors. We added Orange to Rouge.
Pre-K had another birthday. Happy Birthday Mr. Bailey. Pre-k Facebook page has a Happy Birthday video!
Next week our "All about me" focus will be on families. Please send a 4x6 (or something close to that) family picture for a project we will be doing. Thank you.
We have confirmed our field trip to The Grove on October 22nd. The children will go on a hayride and nature walk, along with seeing animals and having a picnic lunch (do not order school lunch this day, you will need to pack a brown bag lunch). More details to come! Please remember to bring your sleeping/rest gear back on Monday.
